Antonia Valle, from the
state of Michoacan, Mexico, founded La Fiesta Restaurant in October 1952 on Walton Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio.
For 24 years, Mrs. Valle, with the help of her
daughter, Phyllis Lutz, and other family members ran the small storefront restaurant. In 1976, Mrs. Valle passed the business on to her daughter Hortencia (Toni), and in 1977 Toni relocated the
restaurant to the Hilltop Plaza in Richmond Heights. For 14 years Toni and her children, Renee, Denise, Lorraine, and Jimmy continued the family tradition begun by her mother, Antonia.
In June of 1991, a fire swept through the Hilltop Plaza
taking with it La Fiesta Restaurant. We reopened at our present location on May 5th, 1992, to continue our long family tradition.
We take great pride in offering authentic Mexican
dishes, and we sincerely hope you enjoy our time tested recipes passed down from generation to generation. There are now four generations that have worked at the restaurant, the latest being Sean,
Steven, and Brian, Toni’s grandson’s.
